The differences between living in South FL VS North FL.
December 30, 2023
South Florida was somewhere I never thought I'd get tired of. When I was in high school, I definitely saw myself living in some overpriced high rise somewhere in Brickell. That was what I thought I wanted before I knew what bills were. To be living in a 1200 sqft apartment overlooking traffic and flooding while paying $3000 a month in rent. When my second daughter was born, we got this little apartment in Broward for about $1100 a month and by the time i moved out 8 years later, I was paying $1900 monthly. You get trapped because everywhere else is just so expensive. But whether you're in Broward or Dade, the atmostphere is pretty much the same. It had become far too overcrowded to where you'd have to park a football field away from the front of target (no matter which one you went to,) the same thing at Publix and Walmart. Any event you went to was like Disney where the lines were insanely long.
Using a blinker is apparently unheard of and for some reason, anytime it rains, people NEED to put their blinkers on.
